The Internet is an effective resource for parents, teachers and students. However due to it’s very open and unrestricted nature, the Internet is also a dangerous place especially for children such as child pornography, abuse and exploitation over the Internet. Every year hundreds of children disappear due to illicit solicitation they receive over the Internet. Child pornography both actual and computer generated is also growing. The Internet is not a place where children especially young children are left unsupervised. With three quarters of all children in their teenage who access internet daily the possibility exploitation grows tremendously although Federal Government initiatives are being used to combat child sexual exploitations, but the Federal Government can not win this war alone.

The first line of defense is at house; parents should know what their children are doing over the Internet. Internet usage should be treated like watching TV and parents should act accordingly. Schools can prevent child sexual exploitations over the Internet by teaching young children about Internet’s advantages and possible hazards. Child exploitation can only be won and tackled effectively if parent’s, teachers and the government combine their efforts and work as a team.

Of all the causes and effects of Internet and the steps taken to save our next generation from the hazards and negative effects of pornography discussed in this article there are still a few things that have not been mentioned here. But however by using different strategies we should cut down the increased exposure of kids to pornography on the Internet.
