Since
the school life, I was interested in computers but at that
time I didn’t even know the basics. I once even took the
Computers as subject, which was optional with French, but I
got so little marks in it thus I got discouraged but the
germs didn’t go. It was in University when I took Computers
again and very soon I learned the use, operation and
handling of PC. So, after completing my graduation, I
decided to pursue with computers as a profession.
ZAP was one of the successful computer institutes and I got
an internship in its Computer lab. It had three computer
labs on different floors and all the labs’ servers were
connected to each other. My position was to assist the
students and work as an assistant to the IT Assistant. The
main server was Unix based and at the front end we used
Windows NT for networking. Teaching the students was very
easy and sometimes I also had to give presentations for
several other students from other institutes. Managing not
only more than 30 computers, I also had to maintain and
manage the institute’s web site, analyzing the up gradation
of system hardware and software, system troubleshooting and
LAN trouble shooting. All these tasks including the
continuous support from my seniors, in only three months I
became an expert in the Lab. Because of my hard work and
successful handling of the PCs, the institute offered me a
job regarding the same position but with a better
facilities. I have now starting working on web designing and
currently not only maintaining my institute’s web site but
also create web sites for many other companies.
